Spooktober Movie Marathon

Each year i have a marathon of horror movies to watch during Spooktober, this year i'm feeling a bit Hammerish and will enjoy some of the classics and not so classics from Hammer Film Studios.
So far i've enjoyed :

Plague of the Zombies (1966) A really well made film from Hammer that was the bottom of a doble bill with Dracula Prince of Darkness. Great acting, good story, fine direction. A jem from Hammer and Michael Ripper is in it too!

The Reptile (1966) Made on the same sets as the Plague of the Zombies and i think right after that filmed wrapped. Another jem and just as good as Plague. Heroic role for Michael Ripper and the lovely Jacqueline Pearce is in it in a role she can sink her teeth into! (She was also in Plague of the Zombies).

Two solid good horrors from Hammer to start Spooktober 2009 with. You should add them on your "Must See for Countdown to Halloween" list!

  2. I agree with you Plague of Zombies is one of my favorites. Cannot see enough Hammer films in my book. :)

    Cheers!
